A pharmacy open day, and a robot to match
We opened our doors at Marton Road Pharmacy to welcome hundreds of visitors, celebrate our new-look dispensary, and unveil the Avonnex dispensing robot by Pharmathek.

Charlie Dewhirst, MP for Bridlington, joined us to see how community pharmacy is taking pressure off local GP services through NHS Pharmacy First and our growing list of private clinics.
He was joined by Prince Alexander von Liechtenstein, Chairman of Pharmathek, the Italian automation company behind our new dispensing robot. Between them, the day covered everything from local NHS access to what pharmacy automation looks like in practice.

Meet Robyn, our dispensing robot
Our Avonnex dispensing robot, built by Pharmathek, stores thousands of packs in a fraction of the space and delivers them to the counter on request. On open day she was officially named Robyn after a community competition and public vote, with Charlie Rudd winning a luxury hamper for the winning entry.
Councillor Liam Dealtry opened the newly installed dispensing robot alongside Pharmathek Chairman, Prince Alexander von Liechtenstein and Avonnex founder, Amrik.
